About-IfPC Kenya, This is our story

Inspiring Change, Transforming Lives

At Initiatives for Progressive Change (IfPC), we are more than an organization—we are a movement dedicated to empowering communities, fostering peace, and driving sustainable development in Marsabit County and beyond.

Since our establishment, IfPC has stood at the forefront of transformative change, leveraging grassroots connections and collaborative efforts to address some of the most pressing challenges facing our communities.

Our Vision and Mission

We envision a world where communities thrive in peace, equality, and sustainability. Guided by this vision, our mission is to inspire change and transform lives through impactful programs that address key issues such as rural development, reproductive health, peace-building, and human rights.

Our Approach

IfPC believes in the power of grassroots action to drive meaningful change. Our strong presence in local communities, combined with strategic partnerships with local and national stakeholders, enables us to implement programs that truly resonate with the people we serve.

Key Achievements

Promoting Peace and Social Cohesion
Through initiatives like the Jirime Peace Accord Project, we have brought warring communities together to engage in candid, solution-oriented dialogues. By focusing on village-level engagements, we have successfully fostered harmony and understanding among groups previously divided by conflict.

    Empowering Women and Youth
Our campaigns against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) have reached over 3,500 individuals, empowering women and youth to champion change in their communities. The establishment of the Anti-FGM Youth Network and Saku Youth Assembly has further amplified their voices in the fight against harmful practices.

    Building Youth Leadership
Platforms such as the Saku Youth Assembly (SYA) and Moyale Youth Assembly (MYA) provide young people with safe spaces to engage with leaders, articulate their concerns, and shape the future of governance in their communities.

    Tackling Climate Change
Through projects like Mazingira Bora Kwa Chakula Bora Nyumbani, we are championing climate-smart agriculture to combat food insecurity while promoting sustainable environmental practices.
